Set of 2 Charming Vintage Marco Pottery Vase with Gilded Rim, 1940's, Marco Pottery of Norwich, OH. Wonderful Condition for there age. There is some wear to the gilded rims as seen in the photo's. Measures Approx. 4" Tall and 3" in diameter at opening of shorter vase and 6" Tall and 1 5/8" diameter at opening of taller vase.
Marco Pottery purchased blanks from Gonder & LePere Potteries in the 1940s. They painted and stamped the pieces in Ohio. This is a really pretty little vase with a long history. When Marco Pottery was in Norwich, Ohio the mark that was used is in plain block letters MARCO POTTERY (with a straight line under each word.) When the pottery moved to Zanesville it changed to MARCO POTTERY in a circle with Zanesville Ohio between the two words.
